Cousins Come to Kansas

Spring Break calls for a road trip to visit far-away family!

 My parents brought my oldest brother and his two boys out for their school furlough.

First we prepared food for the extra mouths: breakfast breads, dinner breads, and desserts.

Then we set out the coffee bistro.

Then we decorated the birthday cousin's cake.

Finally our guests arrived and we celebrated!

Happy 7th birthday Isaac!

Our party game was balloon rocket races.

Mamaw brought out some funnies too.

Mornings brought storytime.

And a delightful snow to sled and play in!

 

We had a great time when the relatives came!

If you were three

like me,

You would go outside

and your stocking feet not hide;

But look for the cat

that promptly sat

(after some strong physical coaxing).

Then just enjoy

her like a toy

cradled, on top

straight up, flop, flop!

These carefree sunshiny spring days!
