Brantley Lake Day 2

Breakfast- using our banana surplus-with homemade yogurt, granola, & the bread baked yesterday

our 'campsite'

Caroline's 2nd loose tooth, trying to yank it with floss.
Very interesting  family event!
Checkout time at the park was 2p.m., so we enjoyed the water and playgrounds all morning then ventured north to 82 and headed west to Cloudcroft, NM. We anticipated spotting elk in this ski town and a passing traveler recommended a bakery there, but it was half raining/sleeting when we arrived, so we passed on through!

Cloudcroft is surrounded by Lincoln National Forest. Too cold to stop here overnight!

Back down, down, the mountains to Alamogordo -Walmart parking lot. Pizza Hut was a short walk down the street for a Book It Reading Program supper treat.

Ohh I love the tooth picture, especially the expressions of the surrounding audience. Brings back such fun memories of other tooth experiences. One time Mike tied floss to the tooth and the nearby door knob - it was NOT successful. I won't tell you which child that was, but she remembers it perfectly to this very day.
