Cindy's best baked cream cheese halibut. |
Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday were overcast, drizzly days. There were times of downpour, and periods of clearing. The men fished one day at Cottonwood Creek and I went with Cindy on a food bank delivery run. We spent most of the time indoors playing games, doing everyday life, and enjoying faraway friends' company.

Their backyard flood plain moisture is great for sprouting mushrooms of different kinds.
There are also lots of berries growing too. The girls ate raspberries, watermelon berries, currants, & rose hips.

Tuesday evening we went to David & Holly Long's for a delicious taco soup meal. (Even though August brings scorching heat to Kansas plains, in Alaska, autumn has arrived...soup's on!) Our time together passed by quickly as we shared life journeys & convictions, good conversation & great food, singing & refreshment.
Fellowship is sweet!
