Everyday Moments

Wednesday April 3. Last day parked at Doug & Betsy Cockrell's. Our first stop on this trip to stay at the home of someone we know. And the hospitality was so fine, even midst a kitchen cabinet remodel, we stayed 3 nights! It has been very nice to have the time flexibility to stick around if there's opportunity, instead of being tied to a schedule.

More fun moments with new and old friends...
Meeting a neighbor's new colt.

Feeding the horses with 'quad' and trailer.

More dirtbike rides. Riley could hardly enjoy Sequoia National Park knowing all this funness was waiting back at the ranch.

Relaxing in the evening before dinner. We all are loving the mild weather where we can live, play, and eat outside, bug-free, wind-free!

One of Betsy's 'go to' meals: corndog casserole, corn, and olives. Doug's mom, Marilyn, came again, this time with treat buckets for the Bowman children and yummy pies for dessert. (Somehow missed pics of her and all the goodies!)

Our girls had so much fun with Audrey (same age as Annie), Kirsten (same age as Caroline), and Taylor (age 5). Wooo, there was lots of energy & excitement happening around here!

Leaving after lunch, heading toward Modesto. First we stopped at a RC car hobby shop that Riley had located in a suburb of Fresno. He came away delighted with his 1st secondhand radio controlled buggy. Not too far from there was Winco (sort of like a glorified Aldi) where we all especially liked the bulk food bins...displaying every kind of candy, spices, grains, nuts, sugars, cereals, etc. Couldn't resist the $1 lb fresh strawberries either! Arrived at Garrett & Gina Bowmans in time for a late supper of yummy grilled fish.
